Nature Therapy

Therapeutic trips are designed to meet the needs of a variety of participants. These trips vary from providing a family therapy experience in nature to being a refresher for a graduate of a wilderness therapy program or therapeutic boarding school. Programs can integrate our services into their program and clients can seek us out directly.

Most therapeutic programs are designed around a solo-fast which includes gestalt expressive experiential group therapy. Trips vary from base camp settings to more remote wilderness adventures.

Trips are lead by Licensed Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists specializing in wilderness interventions.

We provide Nature Therapy Experiences for:

  • Families
  • Graduates of Wilderness Therapy programs
  • Graduates of Therapeutic Boarding Schools and Residential Treatment Centers.
  • Parents whose children are at a Boarding School or a Wilderness Therapy Program.
  • Clients in therapy who want to integrate wilderness rites of passage into treatment.
  • Couples
  • Therapists and counselors who want to integrate wilderness rites of passage into treatment.
  • Adults and Young Adults seeking a therapeutic intervention
  • Therapeutic Boarding Schools and Wilderness Programs seeking a solo-fast intervention or a wilderness family therapy component.

Therapeutic Trips for Families and Parent

These trips are for parents who have or have had a child in a therapeutic wilderness therapy program or boarding school. The family can do the trip together after the child graduates from another program or the parents can do the trip while their child is in the program. The experience is a seven-day family therapy camping trip designed to help families transition to bringing a child back home or sending them to an after-care placement. Families explore new ways to relate and function together as they integrate the work a child has done while away.
